Harjinder was in the Oil & Gas industry for 15 years. He provided corrosion protection and tank maintenance services, which included internal blasting and painting of storage tanks and pipes in Petronas Penapisan Melaka (Sungai Udang, Melaka). The area of work was focused at the Tank Storage and Jetty areas.  His responsibilities included project management, coordinating with relevant inspection and certification authorities, logistics and report generation. He then ventured into the supply of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to the oil and gas contractors, specifically, fire retardant coveralls with King Rotary Sdn Bhd, where he was involved in the logistics, marketing and business development division. The area of business covered the whole of Peninsular Malaysia.

Prior to joining the O&G industry, he was working in Citibank, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. He was attached to the credit card division and was mainly marketing to and servicing the East Coast area of Peninsular Malaysia, bringing him into contact with companies such as Schlumberger, Haliburton, Esso, Petronas, Bredero Price etc.

The amalgamation of being involved in these two industries for a total of 20 years, has resulted in him gaining the knowledge and  experience to navigate the intricacies of the oil trade from the identifying the technical aspects of the product, the processes involved in documentation flow, verification of Proof of Product, arranging of logistics and competent personnel to facilitate the transfer of product including the inspection of product in tanks or vessels, complying with banking requirements and performing all other auxiliary services to conclude a transaction successfully.
